Transition Year Students Recognised with Certificate in Psychology & Leadership

Transition Year students have been awarded their Certificate in Psychology and Leadership in Mental Health and Well-Being Promotion, marking an important achievement in their personal and academic development.

This certificate is formally recognised by the Junior Health Sciences Academy at the University of Limerick, highlighting the high standard and credibility of the programme.

The MY-Psy programme is a youth-centred psychology initiative designed to promote positive mental health and well-being among young people. It empowers students with practical knowledge and skills to better understand themselves and support others.

Throughout the programme, students engaged with a range of core modules, including Managing Social Media, Understanding Emotions, and Building Positive Relationships. These topics were explored through a psychological lens, using active learning techniques that encouraged participation, reflection, and real-world application.

This achievement reflects the students’ commitment to fostering well-being, resilience, and positive relationships in their own lives and within their communities.
