TY Italy Trip
On Thursday the 27th of April, 72 transition year students and 8 teachers went to Lake Garda in Italy. We had an early start to the day and were all at school at 1:30 in the morning. We had a great time visiting the san Siro stadium in Milan getting a tour of both Inter Milan and AC Milan where we saw the jerseys of football legends such as Ibrahimovi?, Maldini, Roberto Carlos and Messi. After the tour of the stadium we visited Lake Garda and got to take part in a boat trip across the lake.
On Friday 28th April, we visited the famous Gardaland Theme Park where there were many exhilarating rides and attractions for people to enjoy. We spent a long and enjoyable day there and were then treated to a great game of bowling in the evening in the beautiful city of Verona.
On Saturday the 29th April, we went on a historical trip to Venice. We took a boat across to the island where we were given a tour around the city by a tour guide who told us the history of the whole city. We were then given time to shop and look around. Later we went to a hot springs which is heated by a volcano.
On Sunday the 30th April, we went up the mountains in cable cars. The views were nice but it was cold. There was a café at the top for people to relax and eat before heading down the mountain. Afterwards we went to the Orio centre in Milan Bergamo before heading home.
