Mini Company Awards

Two Transition Year groups from CCS competed in the annual South Tipperary County Enterprise Board schools competition. Staged at Clonmel Park Hotel, the “Kirky Kardz” company, comprised of Sinead Magner, Roisin Crowe and Orla Slattery displayed their high quality hand-made cards. Their uniqueness and creativity ensured they received much praise from visitors to their stand. On top of that, the judges awarded them the prize for “highly commended.”

James Maxwell, Niall Laffan and Conor Butler were the worker directors of the “Ads’r’us” company. They had been working hard since last November to produce an advertising catalogue featuring local businesses in Cashel and promotion the “shop local” logo. The finished product was an impressive colour catalogue that earned them second prize in the senior category and they also won the prize for the best display in the senior category.

The six students and their teacher, Ms. Gleeson, express their thanks to all the business people who supported them. A particular word of thanks to Liam Ryan and Ann Marie Ryan who gave freely of their time each week to advise and assist the students.
