Junior Handballers win All-Ireland Schools Competition

Kingscourt, Co Cavan was the setting for this years All-Ireland 40×20 second level college handball finals. Padraig O'Donoghue and Daniel Hayes represented Cashel Community School in the Junior Doubles category. After a strong finish in the Semi Final, having defeated Omagh C.B.S. to a score of 21-10, 19-21, 11-4, the stage was set for cashel to face Sheridan and Fox of Kells, Co. Meath. The Cashel Pair played well throughout and proved to strong for their Meath opponents, taking victory in two straight games, 21-16, 21-13.

Earlier in the school year Padraig teamed up with Jonathan Walsh to win the All-Ireland 60×30 Colleges final, giving Cashel Community School the honour of being champions in both courts in the Junior Doubles Category in one year. We wish the lads continued success in the future both with the school and with their club in Cashel.
