Cycle Against Suicide
On Saturday morning next there will be a positive mental health event in Cashel Community School from 9am to 10.30am as part of our hosting of Cycle Against Suicide. All are welcome to attend. We will have music from our choir, mental health organisation stands and our guest speaker will be Irish Paralympian Peter Ryan. The event will precede stage 8 of the 10 Day National Cycle which will take cyclists to Colaiste Mhuire Thurles (leg 1 is 22km) before finishing in O’Loughlin Gaels GAA in Kilkenny (leg 2 is 48km. Registration for the cycle in the school assembly area from 9am. For more information consult the Cycle Against Suicide website.
The school are delighted to have up to 50 cyclists (made up of students and staff) registered to do the cycle and they will lead the peleton on the stage.. We are proud to be an Anchor School and celebrate the important message that it’s ok not to feel ok; and it’s absolutely ok to ask for help.
