A Great Show

Good songs, good music and a good story. This was the recipe that enthralled a full-house audience at Cashel Community School on last Thursday night when the Fr. Mathew Players from New Inn staged their hit drama “Free and Easy”. This was a light-hearted fast-moving play laced with sixteen chart-topping hit songs from the 1950s and `60s – a true tonic in these recessionary times.

The whole venture was in aid of the Community School’s commitment to the Niall Mellon house-building blitz 2011. The school community is extremely grateful to the Fr. Mathew Players and to all sponsors and audience members for their generous support.

Eighteen Fifth Year students have successfully come through the initial rounds of the application process. After mid-term they will undergo in-depth interviews that will select the members of the school’s house-building team to travel to South Africa in November 2011.
