Message from Principal

John Gallagher CCSWe value each student as an individual and as part of a community. We seek to develop all aspects of their personhood and are committed to providing students with an educational experience that will develop every aspect of their being to their fullest potential through a student-centric, values-based education.

Students of Cashel Community School can access a rapidly expanding curriculum from which they may choose a wide variety of subjects, both practical and academic, delivered by a dedicated and highly motivated staff. We offer an extensive range of subjects for both the junior and senior education cycles with the widest possible range of extra-curricular activities available for students.

Our philosophy of education has always been meeting the needs of the individual child. Children acquire skills and knowledge easily if we can make the surrounding stimulating and purposeful. The school boasts a range of facilities that includes computer rooms, interactive whiteboards, science laboratories, music department, art studios, technical workshops, equipped gymnasium, sports playing courts and pitches.

Pastoral Care is an integral part of the holistic education offered in the school and is catered for through a structured Peer Support System, Tutors, the Chaplaincy, Guidance Counselling and Learning Support Education, together with well-established discipline structures, thereby ensuring all students having the opportunity to learn, grow and develop in a safe and caring environment.

Since the amalgamation of the three second level schools in Cashel in 1994, Cashel Community School has been at the core of the life of the community and education in Cashel and surrounding areas. The school has fused the best traditions of the three amalgamated schools and has embarked on building a history all of its own.

The exceptional achievements of our students in both the Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate ensures that Cashel Community School has established an outstanding academic record which has facilitated our students progress to virtually every faculty in a variety of third level colleges.

I invite you to become part of this history and together we can foster and enhance a reputation for excellence in the fullest meaning of education. John Gallagher Principal Please find attached reports of the school years 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13, and 2013-14.
