CCS senior boys win Tipperary B Football final, winning the ‘Corn Bhrathair Ui Dhaltuin’ cup


U/18.5 – Tipperary Senior B Football

Cashel Community School VS Carrick CBS in the County B football final

Last Thursday, December 8th, the CCS senior football team competed against Carrick CBS in the final of the U/18.5 Tipperary competition. The game was played in ideal conditions in Monroe and the CCS ran out worthy winners to claim the title for the first time in many years. From the start Cashel were much the stronger team with Paddy Fahy and Conor Horan dominant in the middle of the field. The Cashel full forward line of Cian Bargary, Riain Quigley and Liam McGrath proved unstoppable with Quigley giving an outstanding display at full forward. The Cashel team had scored 3-09 by half time and in the second half they again dominated with some excellent flowing moves from back to front. In the finish Cashel won out on a scoreline of 6-11 to 2-05. The CCS captain Alan O' Donnell accepted the trophy on behalf of the team.
